We have exciting news.. we have won gold in the Major Festivals and Events category at the 2023 Canberra Region Tourism Awards!
These awards acknowledge and showcase the Canberra Region’s best tourism operators, and it’s an honour to be recognised alongside many other spectacular tourism events in the ACT.
The 2023 festival attracted a record-breaking crowd of 380,000 people in February this year.
The National Multicultural Festival will now represent Canberra at the National Tourism Awards in Darwin early next year.
The award recognised the National Multicultural Festival for creating economic impact, increasing visitor numbers to the ACT and community participation in delivering the festival.
Winning this award follows a previous win in the Best Community Event category at the Australian Event Awards in September. This award which recognised the benefits of an event in building communities and community engagement.
Many people contribute to the National Multicultural Festival each year to make this event such a huge success. From stallholders and performers to volunteers and our festival attendees: thank you, this achievement is truly a community effort.
