We’re thrilled by the overwhelming response to our call for volunteers for the 2025 National Multicultural Festival. While most positions are currently filled, applications are still open for those who wish to join our waitlist. This is your chance to step in if additional opportunities arise for the exciting three-day event running from Friday 7 February to Sunday 9 February.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering at the festival is more than just lending a hand – it’s a fun and rewarding way to meet new people, gain valuable skills, and experience the event from behind the scenes. Volunteers are the heart of the festival, and without their dedication, this event wouldn’t be possible.
Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking volunteers for a range of exciting roles, including:
- General Support
- Information Tent Assistants
- Volunteer Hub Assistants
- Reception / Site Office Assistants
- Masters of Ceremonies
- Stage Managers
- Stage Assistants
- Precinct Assistants
- Program Team Assistants
- Festival Set Up and Pack Down Support
Whether you love being in the thick of things, guiding attendees, or managing the spotlight, there’s a role for everyone. Plus, if you speak multiple languages, we’d love to hear from you – your skills could make a huge difference in helping us connect with our diverse audience. Already performing at the festival? Share the volunteer opportunity with friends and family so they can join in on the fun!
What you need to know
- Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
- You’ll receive a festival t-shirt, hat, sunscreen, water, and a food voucher to keep you energised.
- Training will be provided to ensure you’re confident and ready for your role.
- Inclusivity is important to us – each role has been designed with accessibility in mind. Let us know if you have any specific needs and we’ll make sure you are supported.
