Registrations for the Australian National University 2019 National Multicultural Festival Parade are open!

Each year participation in the parade continues to grow, with the 2019 parade expecting over 2000 performers from a range of cultural groups, displaying Canberra’s inclusive and diverse community. 2019 will also see the proud sponsorship of the Australian National University.

The Parade will start at 4:00pm on Saturday 16th February on the corner of Bunda and Akuna Street (near Glebe Park). The Parade will then continue along London Circuit, ending at Stage 1 in Garema Place with a closing ceremony finishing by 6:00pm.

The Multicultural Festival Parade has everything from beautiful dancers and marching bands, to magnificent floats.

Each year thousands flock to the streets of Canberra on Saturday of the festival to witness a sea of performers from local and international groups. These performers envelope the streets with spectacular color and sound.

Participation in the parade has grown, with this year’s parade expecting over 2000 performers partaking in the event including a diverse group of cultural performers. Bringing a multitude of cultures to the event and displaying Canberra’s diverse community. Come and be part of this year’s festival and don’t forget to come along to be dazzled by beautiful costumes and an ensemble of musicians that will march in the parade.
