Volunteer reception and site office managers

Register to be a volunteer reception manager or site office manager

Volunteer reception and site office managers are key to the smooth running of the festival, ensuring volunteer reception and the site office are supported.

The volunteer reception manager will

  • manage all volunteer arrivals and departures
  • coordinate the volunteer roster
  • issue shirts and meal vouchers
  • supervise the reception office assistant volunteers.

The site office manager will

  • oversee administration tasks for festival staff, precinct managers and contractors
  • manage equipment such as vehicle keys and radios
  • coordinate the general phone line
  • supervise the site office assistant volunteers.

We are looking for organised, friendly and calm ACT Government employees for these roles.

We will provide training and documents needed.


These are indoor, air-conditioned roles. A chair will be available most of the time.

It will require you to interact with and manage other people.


  • Staff the reception on Level 2, Theo Notaras Multicultural Centre
  • Welcome incoming volunteers, contractors and visitors
  • Restrict walk-ins to restricted areas
  • Manage volunteer, staff or contractor sign in and out
  • Manage the volunteer or precinct manager roster
  • Manage issuing of t-shirts, hats and meal vouchers to volunteers
  • Maintain and issue a radio to staff, contractors and specified volunteers
  • Manage equipment such as vehicle keys, phones and precinct manager packs
  • Oversee the general phone line and ensure calls are logged and directed to festival staff as required
  • Direct event staff and relevant stakeholders to key festival locations
  • Set up and pack down of reception desk, including the preparation and management of folder of rosters, radio sign in and out logbook, festival guides, wristbands, and checklists for precinct managers
