Experience the festival magic

Volunteering offers a unique way to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the festival. It's a chance to witness the joy, diversity, and cultural richness in a way like no other.

What you need to know

While we wish we could welcome everyone from the community, we do have some age restrictions in place. You must be 18 years or older to volunteer with us.

And since the festival is a multicultural extravaganza with attendees from all walks of life, if you can speak multiple languages, we encourage you to apply. Your multilingual skills can make a world of difference.

There are many roles available for people with diverse interests and abilities.

All volunteers will receive a festival hat and t-shirt, water, sunscreen and a meal voucher. Hand sanitiser will be available.

Some roles are for ACT Government staff members only, due to the level of responsibility related to the roles.

In the form, we’ll ask for your availability on the festival weekend in February 2024. It’s ok if you don’t know! If you do have a preferred time, please let us know and we’ll take that into account.

Closer to the festival dates, we will check back in to confirm shift times.

We will run training sessions before the festival and provide any information you need.

Volunteer shifts are available indoors and outdoors, and you’ll get rest breaks when needed.

The festival is a celebration of diversity and inclusion and that includes our volunteers.

We have included accessibility considerations in each role. Please let us know if you have further accessibility requirements or questions.
