Volunteer Performer Applications

Applications are invited for performances, artistic and cultural, including dance, music, song, comedy, theatre etc. These will be considered by the Festival Team against a range of factors when deciding on selection and performance scheduling. The NMF reserves the right to schedule all acts across the program. You can apply by the link below: https://csd.eventsair.com/2020-national-multicultural-festival/volunteer-performer

Volunteer Performers applying directly through this avenue will be scheduled on general stages subject to stage time availability. Applications will be considered by the Festival Team against a range of factors when deciding on selection and performance scheduling. The NMF reserves the right to schedule all acts across the program. All Festival applicants will be subject to the Volunteer Performer Terms and Conditions. If you wish to participate in a Showcase at the 2020 Festival, please contact the appropriate Showcase Coordinator to express your interest. Performers who have already been approved or engaged by a Showcase Coordinator need not apply through the volunteer performer application. Showcase Coordinators will be responsible for scheduling their individual programs and reserve the right to schedule all performances within their Showcase. APPLICATIONS CLOSE: 5:00pm, Monday 16 September


Next Steps

Stallholder Applicants

  1. The Festival Team will assess all stallholder applications. Assessment will be completed by late October 2019.
  2. Successful stallholders will receive a formal letter of offer along with an invoice for payment.
  3. Payment is required within seven working days of receiving the invoice, noting that it can take up to three working days for payments to be received.

Stall Allocation

The Festival Team will take into consideration the location requests made in the application, however no guarantee can be given. Stallholders applying to participate for the three days will be given preference for location on the footprint.

Stall allocations are made by the Festival team with consideration of:

  • Security, safety and public access and egress;
  • Location of Showcases;
  • Stallholders requested location prefence;
  • Competition with other similar stalls; and
  • Shop owner’s interests and existing infrastructure.

NOTE: Stall locations will not be negotiable once allocated.
