Our top tips for enjoying the festival
- Stay cool and hydrated! Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol or caffeine drinks. Some bottled water will be available at the Festival Information stall but we encourage festival participants to bring their own
- Never leave children or animals in an unattended car
- Wear light, loose, comfortable clothing and don’t forget a hat and sunscreen
- Keep an eye on babies, children and older people and make sure they drink water regularly. A sanctuary for seniors, parents and children will operate in Ainslie Place on Saturday (see map)
- For first aid or police assistance, go to Emergency Services (see map)
- The Festival Information stall is located at the fountain on City Walk
- Note that London Circuit is open to traffic, so extra care needs to be taken when crossing to the festival area.

SunSmart
The National Multicultural Festival and SunSmart encourage everybody attending this year’s festival to take it easy in the sun!
Whilst enjoying great music and food from around the world remember to take that extra care during the middle hours of the day when UV levels are at their strongest.
Wear appropriate clothing and a good hat, seek out shade when you can, wear some sunnies to protect your eyes and finally don’t forget to slop on some sunscreen.
For more information on being Sunsmart visit the Cancer Council of the ACT
website.
Visit the Bureau of Meterology
website to see when sun protection will be recommended at the Festival today!
Sanctuary for Seniors, Mothers and Infants
The sanctuary is a location dedicated to seniors and breast feeding mothers.
For those in need of privacy and a shaded environment to rest, recuperate and relax during the Festival.
